DBT Skills Group for Eating Disorders
While participating in the DBT Skills Group, you will have the opportunity to learn the skills necessary for interrupting specific behaviors and beliefs that drive the disorder, and build healthier skills for living. The group will specifically focus on Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance and Interpersonal Effectiveness. Participants will be provided valuable information, as well as alternative ways of coping with the intrusive thought processes and intense emotional reactions characteristic of individuals whose relationship with food and body image has become unmanageable.
Casa Serena Eating Disorders Program serves the Bay Area in California including Concord, Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek, Lafayette, Pittsburg, Antioch, Berkeley, Martinez, Clyde Bay Point, Avon, Port Chicago, Alamo, Orinda, Clayton, Shore Acres, Vallejo, Richmond, San Francisco, and all surrounding cities.
