Expressive Arts Therapy
Expressive Arts Therapy at Casa Serena
Expressive arts therapy is used extensively throughout the program as a way for each client to develop new representational ways to express their feelings. We will use art, drama therapy, narrative techniques and role playing exercises to help you uncover and identify issues related to the eating disorder’s role in your life. Each client is given a journal and we encourage reflective writing and diary exercises. Art therapy techniques like mask making, collage and finger painting help the client to open to new ways to express their struggles with their eating disorder.
